Kennedy Martin is a Business Administration graduate with a successful track record in the financial services industry. After graduating from the University of Technology (formerly the College of Arts, Science & Technology) in Kingston, Jamaica, with a Diploma in Marketing, he embarked on a career in the insurance industry where he started at the entry level as a Customer Service Representative, eventually working his way up through the ranks to become a Product Consultant, gaining invaluable experience as an annuity and life insurance specialist.

He later obtained his security licenses (Series 6 & Series 63), along with the Life Insurance & Property/Casualty License in the states of Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. With extensive experience in insurance, investments and retirement planning, Mr. Martin has held roles such as Sales Associate, Client Relations Manager, Retirement Plan Specialist, and Financial Advisor within some of the nation’s leading financial services firms; premier companies like Travelers Life & Annuity/MetLife, ING/Voya Financial, Northwestern Mutual, and ICMA-Retirement Corporation. In the different roles at these companies, he was tasked with providing expert guidance and innovative solutions for the planning needs of individuals and businesses in the areas of retirement, insurance, and investments.

Mr. Martin is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of his own insurance agency, located in Hartford CT. His focus is on working with clients to build comprehensive insurance plans, which he believes is the cornerstone of any well, thought-out financial plan. With over 20 plus years of experience in financial services, he feels that the area of insurance planning is where he should be focused, helping to educate others about the importance and the need to have proper insurance coverage.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Martin is a Minister and an active member of his local church fellowship. He regularly teaches Sunday School Bible class to new members who join the church, and he is also a regular volunteer with the Prison Ministry Team that visits and teaches Bible Study in some of the state’s prisons.
